Our story
Built with our customers, for Africa
Prograte began with a simple observation: institutions across Africa were held back by manual, outdated processes that limited how well they could serve their communities.
Founded in 2024, we set out to bring enterprise-grade lending technology to institutions of every size, working closely with lenders and cooperatives to understand how they really work.
Today Prograte serves 15+ institutions and processes over UGX 500M in loans every month. In 2026 we brought SACCOs, money lenders and credit-sale businesses onto one platform, with an app for their members and customers.
We believe technology should empower, not complicate, whether you're a field officer recording a payment on a phone or a manager reviewing the portfolio from the office.
